MSO Across Mississippi

The MSO travels on a regular basis to many cities around the state. We offer full orchestra concerts with classical, pops or a combination of literature, as well as Chamber by Candlelight concerts (with a smaller chamber orchestra) and school visits by our String Quartet, Woodwind Quintet and Brass Quintet. Symphony at Sunset (Jackson)

MSO performs the 16th annual Symphony at Sunset. Rossini’s famous William Tell Overture, Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, themes from Forrest Gump, Driving Miss Daisy, Downton Abbey & Dances with Wolves and rounding out with music of John Williams and other Americana. Blankets, chairs, picnics welcome.

MSO at Vicksburg National Military Park (Vicksburg, MS)*

Saturday, May 26, 2018, 7:00 PM

A free orchestra concert will be held on the grounds of the Vicksburg National Military Park. Shuttles will be provided to assist with parking and the public is invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy an evening pops concert with full orchestra, conducted by Crafton Beck. The concert is present as a collaboration between the Friends of Vicksburg National Military Park and Campaign & Four Seasons of the Arts. Funding for the concert comes, in part, from Trustmark.
