Pre-Concert Lectures and Dinners

MSO Bravo pre-concert lectures are free for concert ticket holders and offer a fascinating insight into the music being performed. This is a great opportunity to hear more about the music and the composers’ life and work. These lively, interactive, informal talks are given by Dr. Timothy Coker of Millsaps College and include music and visual elements. The lectures last 30 minutes and are held at 6:45 pm at the Mississippi Museum of Art on the night of each Bravo concert. The Mississippi Museum of Art also offers a SYMPHONY DINNER prior to each Bravo concert. One may participate in the dinner (5:30pm, advance reservations only), the lecture (no reservations required) or BOTH! Menus for the dinner will appear in the NEWS section of the MSO Home page prior to each concert. Deadline for ordering is the Tuesday prior to the concert.
