MSO Salutes the Jackson Symphony League!

The Mandarin Ball!

It was a glittering and wonderful evening in a beautiful setting, with wonderful auction items, great food, fun dancing and fabulous conversation.  And as a part of the very successful evening, the JSL raised just over $16,000 to purchase badly needed student string instruments for our growing string instruction program.  These instruments will be made available - in many cases on full scholarship - to students in our program who want to learn to play an instrument and would not otherwise have the opportunity.  Studies show that students who learn to play an instrument think differently.  This is truly an investment in our state's future.

The Symphony Ball continues to be the event of the year, while raising 10% of the MSO 1.6 million operating budget annually.  Our heartfelt thanks to every member of the League for this successful evening.
