MSO to perform at ART GARDEN opening gala

MSO is proud to collaborate at this gala event for the opening of the Mississippi Museum of Art’s brand new Art Garden.  The garden will be an oasis of beautiful plantings, sculpture, expansive lawns, performance space, outdoor café space, garden “rooms” and much more.

MSO Music Director Crafton Beck has planned a fabulous multi-media short concert as part of the evening, using music from Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning musical SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, itself based on Seurat’s  famous painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.  Singing with MSO will be Heather Clancy of Jackson and Tim King of Louisville, Kentucky.
